Stupid question about using a non-cd crack

:) Hi,
I'm planning to use a non-cd crack for a game I play ( yes, a bought version) and my ? is :do I have to replace the original exe file with the non-cd exe or do I have to run both?

U have to replace the original exe file. But make a back-up of the original in case u want to update your game.
