can some please help me I'm going to to buy a chip for my ps2 I dont what version I have can someone also tell me what is the best chip and where can I get it USA SCPH 30001 Serial Number begins with U5

You have a v4. I personally am not a fan of modding anything less than a v5, as you can run into laser problems. v5 and up have much better lasers. You are best of selling your v4 and buying a new PS2. I highly recommend the Apple Pro. It is only $19.99 from www.modchips.cc
