Ps2 random crashes :(

hi !

i got a huge problem with my ps2, it randomly locks up while
playing rpg games (xenosage, dark cloud, FFX) this is really
****ed up. i got a newer type ps2, with a clone messiah chip
in it. anyone knows what the problem could be ??

most of the time it crashes when its loading something. but
sometimes it also crashes just during the game !?

if u need more info on this plz let me know.


ps. anyone how i open the case of the damn ps2 ?

Are these with originals, backups, or both?

it happens 2 backup and original dvds games, ive noticed that my ps2 is working slower with the mod, if just cut power to the mod and my ps2 is faster !?

could it be that the mod chip working on 5v isnt getting enough
power, which causes the ps2 to randomly lockup ?

like i said i cut off power to the mod chip, and played FFX for 3 hours straight without any lockups :)

Well the problem is obviously the mod. It is either installed wrong or the chip is just crap.(most likely) I would talk to your installer about getting a new mod.
