Anyone know of a place that i can buy a whole premodded xbox?
The place I've seen the best feedback from is: System-Mods (http://www.system-mods.com/main.html). Their base system starts at like $300 US.
Another thing you can do is buy an XBox at your local Wal-Mart or where ever, buy an X2 modchip from The Console Corner (http://www.the-console-corner.com/xbox_modchips.htm) and send it to Bill at New Age PSX & XBox Service (http://www.freedomlives.com/) to get modded.
Its up to you, your going to spend about the same either way.

yea since the days of got mod vanished
and uhh i forgot the company, but its now system-mods
systems mods is your best bet for a premod

They're all out of stock on the X cuter pro mods. Whats the diff between pro and lite?

pro has multi bios capability
lite can only have one bios
The diff. between them isn't alot. The LITE chip comes pre-flashed with the worthless cornwall BIOS. Its so worthless you can't even boot back-ups with it. and its got two banks of 512k flashable memory.
The PRO dose not come flashed (nines times outa ten) and has four banks of 265k of flashable memory.

So the firmware it comes with is useless eh? Sorry for the noobish question but where can i find other firmware flashes for it?
I can't really tell you where you can find it. I would suggest searching with Google or Yahoo for "X2 4977".

They have free shipping on systems and great support.

Hmm or should i wait for the X cuter 3 mod? Any idea on when thats out?
I wouldn't worry about getting an X3 chip. I would get an XBox with a X2.2 and wait and see what the X3 has when it comes out. And I'm willing to bet when it dose it will have the same connector as the X2 dose do all you will have to do is un-plug the X2 and plug the X3 in.

cool you guys just convinced me to get it now. what size is your guys hardrives? i see a 60 and a 120 gig. Is 120 too much? or do you guys stick divx, mp3, the works on it? Should i get 120 just in case?

well technically 160 is, but u can onlyu use 132 of it
so thats crap

If you have the money to get an XBox with an 120GB HDD by all means get it. I have the little HDD my XBox came with in it b/c I put all my games on DVD. When I buy another XBox I will also put a 120 GB in it. And no I don't run movies or MP3s off my XBox either, I use to but I don't any more.

me onthe otherhand
i use mine as a multimedia system
cuz watchin movies and tv shows are just fun
games are sweet too
so i recommend 120
