Is action replay a mod chip? I thought it was just a game enhancer! :oP
Have you tried following the stickies for the correct boot procedure for your modchip?
Always use the best media such as Ritek or Verbatim, they have a dark purple die underneath.

Try using RecordNow Max v4.50
http://downloads.stompinc.com/support/stprnm450v.exe
Follow the PS2 Backup Procedures "Sticky" (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43792) as mentioned by FiT :)
Let us know how you get on...

Ummmm ..... unless I'm missinformed isnt action replay2 just a game enhancer? How can he get a back up to boot with a game enhancer? Or is it like doing the B.S swap trick thing?
i think he uses the knife swap is what he means
