Got my PS2 back today with my new baby, the Apple Pro. If you are in the market for a new mod, you gotta get one of these. It has fixed the few probs that the original apple had. No more greyscale PS2 screen and most importantly the Splinter Cell problem on v7 machines is no more. It also appears to boot games faster than the original apple. You now have no excuse to get a fliptop or no solder cause you are short on cash. At only $20 you can't pass this up.

do u still goto open tray put game in and hit reset for the backup to load or can u do it just like a real game and also how much do the peps charge to install that did urs ? cause i dont want to pay another 100$ to get a chip and a install

Just stick in the game and it loads. Tapping reset is no longer necessary.
Their normal install cost is $65. They might give you a little bit of a discount if you say I sent ya.:)

Just a quick question tho.

If the apple pro is as good as the messiah 2, y the $30 price difference?

It has to be cheaper. Messiah 2 has too stong of a following. It must be cheap to compete.

Sounds good but they only sell to USA and Apple Pro isn’t even listed on precisionmods !!!

Basically the only difference is with booting Splinter Cell and other v7 protected games. You have to boot with eject rather than reset.

He just got them last week so he is a little behind updating his page. www.modchips.cc ships worldwide for free. Only $19.99 for the Apple Pro from them.

but like I mentioned in the PM to you. isn't that the way they specified to boot all ps2 games?


also, have you had any problems with rips with it? just wondering cos my friend don't use rips. and SK in the other forum was methioning one of his customers is having problems with rips

You don't have to use use eject for other games. Reset works fine.

Mafia Matt on newz said he has tried 13 rips and all worked fine. I don't use rips so I wouldn't know.
