View Full Version : New Logo Design (A Bit Off-Topic)
Hi guys,
As you may well know, I have my own website. However, I feel that my logo isn't all that good. If anyone can come up with a better one then please post it here. Also, if you can't be bothered, just write down a description of your idea here and the winner gets to grace my new site.
THERE ARE A FEW SPECIFICATIONS THOUGH:
1. THE LOGO MUST NOT BE ANY BIGGER THAN 300X100
2. IT MUST CONTAIN THE TITLE, PS2 PLACE
3. iT MUST HAVE A WHITE BACKGROUND
GOOD LUCK ALL...
Thanks a lot...

Either, and may I say, that is a FINE logo you have there... :)
Any chance of it with a black background? And what font is that - very, very nice! :D

PS2 Font (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/apps/Zrnic - PS2.zip)
Enjoy :)
You are a STAR PSX_Paul. :D
I have posted a little screen shot of what I have so far. I am going to use the PS2 for navigation. It will be animated, so for instance, say I had the 'eject' button as a boot methods page, the tray would come out and take you to your selected page.

Hey that's a pretty cool idea.
Very inviting and original too.

That looks fantastic lufcfan :)
I wanted to do something cool like that with my site, but I am not up to speed with the latest applications such as flash etc.
There may be a re-design of http://psxpaul.cjb.net on the way, created using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, once I get the time to sit down and do it :)
Just out of interest, what application software do you use for your site?
Awesome. Keep up the excellent work.:)
I do EVERYTHING on Flash and then just import it into Dreamweaver to set up the background colour and page title etc...

Thanks mate, I will remember that when I get around to re-designing my site :)
A bit of an update for you. I have attached a picture of the finished PS2...

OK. Another update for you all. I have attached a picture of my work in progress (a finished PS2, and TV but with a bare-bones basic structure of a controller). I still have a lot of structure/3D/Rendering to do there. :(

So, this is what I have got to do...
1. Finish Controller (BIG job)
2. LOTS of coding
3. Complimentary Animations
4. Animating PS2 :D (should be fun, I hope the neighbourhood is wearing earmuffs for when I start that one, just thinking whether I should hire a priest for a day???) ;)
5. Creating Menus
6. Converting Tutorials
7. Updating Site
8. Re-packaging site
9. Programming Navigation
10. Emptying Swear-box.
As you can see, it's a big job trying to do something like this - but journeys of a thousand miles start with a single step (and when you make that first step, you realise what a bloody idiot you are). :D
So, I may have something for you guys to take a look at tomorrow - i'll keep you updated anyway. P.S.: I am pretty pi**ed off already as Leeds can't even beat Shelbourne
Anyway, see you all later...
