trouble with any dvd's/games that are colors

I have one of the first ps2's relesed in Florida I can not play my dvd's that have color on it or games what can I do or where can I find this new patch that alows older ps2's to use the colored disks?

Colored discs? Are you refering to cd based games which have blue backs?

yes I have like the first month the PS2 was relesed I bought one and now blue backed dvd's and games will not work everything else I use does. and there is no mod made to it. and the game I just bought for the PS2 wont work nor will the brand new DVD's I purchased that are blue or almost a purple color.

First of all, there are no blue backed dvd. These incicate cds. They even say cd-rom on the disc and on the back of the box. Your laser might just need a cleaning. Try one of these (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384652107&skuId=5216081&type=product)

I have spent 35$ on a cleaner for the lense I was told about a patch for the PS2 that will alow the dvd'd and games that are Diffrent colors I am not stupid dude I have tryed everything and this brand new game bought from a rep Game store will not play so telling me that clean the lense is what is needed when it does not work is not workin and will not work is no help. to be exact the movies mr.deeds XXX, road to perdition, maid in manhattan. all of which are bought through columbia house. and the game I just bought called Barbarian which is brand new. so what else can I do or where is the hardware patch for the PS2

what chip do you have or how do you play backups on your ps2?
like bighap, if you are talking about the ps2 games that have a blue bottom, then those are not dvds those are cds.
there are no patches that do what you described.
if you cleaned the laser and still can't play your games or dvds (assuming there is no internal damage to the ps2) then the laser is probably dead.

Frist of all I have 0 mod done to my PS2 I can play all of my games and still play some DvD's I have some will not work like the ones that have diffrent colors the black backed and the silver backed work fine just some of the other DVD's and the Brand new game I bought for the PS2 will not work the. second I contacted Sony it's self and they gave me more help then I have recived and I am haveing them repair it for free since they can not pinpoint the problem so thank you for all the help I got here.

Facts:

1. All PS2 games with blue backs are CD's.

2. I have no FRIGGIN' idea what "colored DVD's" are, in the context of DVD movies. I've seen thousands of DVD movies, from different countries and continents, backup and originals, and have no idea what a "colored DVD" is.

3. All PS2 games with black backs are PSX games, not PS2 games.

4. Which games, exactly, don't work? I'm guessing that your laser is shot... and if it's as old as you claim, how in GOD'S name have you convinced Sony to fix it for free?
