It is probably due to crap media. What did you use? What version ps2 do you have? What mod? Do you multitask while burning?

Ugly. No offense but slide cards suck. So do v3 systems. I would try better media first. Verbatim or Ritek is a good choice. Your laser might also need cleaning with a cleaning disc.

Jamming a foreign device into your ps2 is not a good idea. Many people think of it as a cheap way out, which isn't true. 9 out of 10 times people bust their ps2 because of the slide card/credit card/knife trick. A chip is a lot cheaper than a new ps2. I know someone who has a magic 2 that will sell dirt cheap. PM me for details.

If you have Maxell give one a try. The problem with a v3 is that their lasers sucked; as a result, you usually have to use high quality media such as Verbatim or Ritek.

You said there is no need to path with DVD to DVD copying. I made a direct copy of Resident Evil Code Veronica fine my first time. NEC ND1300A burner using NTI CD/DVD burner software. Even on a CD-RW. Then I went to copy The Getaway and Enter THe Matrix and they did not burn correctly. What would cause this? Does anyone know how I can get Nero to verify my unsupported drive without the original CD? Or why Record Now Max won't recognize the drive? Does Roxio work well for copies?

RecordNow Max is the best. Roxio sucks. Did you try installing the latest px engine here (http://support.sonic.com/Downloads/engine.asp) ?

Dear All,

I'm new on the site and new to this gaming thing.

However, i would like some advice, from anyone, about creating back-ups for PS2 games - by copyinjg them to a CD or a DVD. Can anyone advise me on what exactly i need to do and where i can obtain any necessary software - or hardware, if necessary - please?

BG / Bighap,

I know i've asked a question which has been asked a thousand times.....but unfortunately i'm so useless with technology that i need the re-assurance from people before i do something.

I'll gladly refer to other posts to find out how to solve my earlier query....but can you tell me something....what is a "STICKY" and where is it?

They are posts that are stuck at the top of the board for reference. The first 7 posts are stickies.
