I tried backing up a movie today to dvd. I wrote to a dvd+rw disk. My ps2 won't play the movie neither will My dvd player. Any Ideas why? I used NeroVision to convert and burn my movie. Thanks.

What version ps2 do you have? Does your dvd player even support dvd+rw? Check here (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers)

I have tried loads of different media and not one will read on a ps2 but fine in just about every DVD player, has anyone got the ps2 to play backups??

What version ps2 do you have and do you have a mod installed? If so which one?

PS2 should read a dvd-r even if it has no chip, right?

Yes, but if he has a mod he might be booting incorrectly.

I have the euro ps2 (Not sure what version) with no mod chip installed but does not play backups whatever media I seem to use!

Check your version here (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ps2versionreference.htm) . Which do you have? Have you tried a dvd-r?
