Just Starting.

I have read the beginner section.

I guess I have nothing yet so I am an impressanable beginner.

I guess I am not 100% sure what is required to burn ps2 games.

So far I was thinking I need a ps2 mod chip, a DVD-R burner. (I am thinking of the Pioneer DVR-A06U or the Sony DRU-510A) What would you guys recommend as a DVD burner to get.

Second is the software, I have nero to burn. (That should be fine)

And then thier is the DVD media. What would be the recommended media to use.

Get the Pioneer and Ritek media. Nero is ok, but RecordNow Max is a better choice.

You could also visit my site PS2 Place (http://www.mjpaul.freeserve.co.uk) for some more PS2 tutorials and other useful information. You can't fault the Pioneer burners (had mine nearly a year and not a bad burn yet!) :D

I wouldn't bother getting the A06........

Get the Pioneer A05, its cheaper and the only difference is the A06's ability to burn +R/+RW which you don't need anyways.....

Not only that, but those mixed-mode burners are as-yet-untested. The Sony and NEC mixed-modes have nothing but problems.
