Hi,
I wanted to know if there is any boot disc presently for the PS2 where it lets u play PS2 DVD-/+R Backups. Im talking about a boot disc similar to Dreamcast's Utopia Boot CD, not the "Swap Disc" where u hav to take off the DVD-ROM tray and have to add a modchip in order for it to work. I don't want teh Slide Card and Swap Disk thing either. Please if anyone knows please post.

Thanks

Swap Magic is the only boot disc, which requires a no solder mod, flip top, or slide card. These are all garbage "mods."

I though a slide card was required for a Swap Disc.

Nevermind about the message right before...my mistake.
But one question, how easy (or hard) is it to install a mod chip for a newbie. is it easy to accidently jack up the ps2?

Installing a internal mod is not for the "faint hearted"

The points are VERY small, and too much heat can FRY your PS2...

Its much easier to ship/deliver your ps2 to someone and pay 60 bucks to have them install it for you....

If you are a pro at soldering, you should be able to do it yourself..
