I finally managed to make a working back up of NCAA Football 2004, but when I try to play online, I get a DNAS verification message, and then an error so I can't log on. I am guessing this is a way to avoid letting people with back up play online. Snyone els having the same problem? I am using a NEO modchip with DVD-R swap trick.

There is no way a neo is going to get by DNAS. You should be able to with a Messiah 2 or DMS3.

Big, what about Magic 3? Madden 2003 worked online, did it use the same security process?

Replied to your other post.

Forgot to mention that regardless of the chip you have you won't be able to play a backup online that has DNAS protection. Your chip might also have to be disabled depending on the type of mod.

hey big, I did a file search for DNAS on the original NCAA 2004 disc, and it showed me a file under the hard dive, so I think somehow, NCAA searches the hard drive for an image of a burned disc, and then tells the online server that the game is a copy. I don't think its my chip, beacause I have no problem playing Madden 2003 online.

You can not play a copy online. You have to use your original and disable the chip to play(but not online)

Madeen 2003 doesn't have DNAS protection. And it is the chip that is sees, not something on the backup because even the original doesn't work unless you disable the mod.

Thats what i was gonna say about disabling the modchip after the game boots. Maybe go to Radio Shack and find a small on/off switch and wire it into the 5v power wire. After it boots then hit the off switch. Wouldnt that work? seems to me it would. BH, what do you think?

It might work, but I think it does the check pretty early. It would be worth trying.

@ Seven O Two
Did you use your original and disable your chip when booting? You have a PM too:)
