Region Free Help!

Hi, I just bought a Region Free, DVD REGION FREE DVD for the PS2 today and tried it out with my original Scart Cable that came with the PS2 with a Region 1 DVD and the picture was in Black and White and there was slight interference with the picture.
Any help would be greatly received,

Then the "region free" disc seems to be working correctly....

The problem you are having may be due to the NTSC signal of a region 1 disc....

If your tv cannot handle the signal, it will not display correctly....

All the region free disc does is allow you to boot "out of your region" discs........
