Taken from www.zophar.net:
Caustik's XBOX emulator, Cxbx, is looking very promising. It is now playing the intro movie to Turok Evolution, so if you have this game, go ahead and give it a try. Also new in this version:
So if you have this game give it a try? Does he mean a copy or is there a way to read the original disk on a PC? He didnt sound like he was talking about a ocpy but I thaught that reading them on the PC was near impossible?
at the moment you CAN NOT read original xbox game discs on a pc. its just that simple. you can however create a backup using the data burn method and read that in the pc, it's the only way to read xbox games via a pc.

So without a modded xbox hooked up to my pc I cant read the disks at all...........
Sigh, I am thinking of modding it, but I am worried about voiding the warranty, getting banned on live, plus I am a very bad solderer.

The really scary part is he is working on Turok Evolution as the first compatible game. That right there tells me he's not quite right.

lol yah I saw that. I was thinking the exact same thing. But he got the movies playing and I guess turok was the perfect game to test it on because of the type it was + it was at the beginning.

*shudders* ew....Turok. Anyway as for modding your xbox and voiding your warrenty...it is a risk but in my opinion a definite worthy risk. If you're bad a soldering then grab a no-solder modchip which are pretty good.

Actually, there is
As far as I know though it can only play psx games in .bin format on the harddrive, not off the cd. But that was months ago, they might have improved it by now.
