GameSharkV2 problem

hey boyz.. I got a big prob here with my game shark V2 cd fro my ps2!! Ok heres teh prob.. I start it up and all is good everything is inserted and it goes to the loading screen.. Ie. it says loading gameshark codes plz wait.... but then it frezzes i tried to clean it with my cd clearner but it didn't work!!! My ps2 is a version 7 modded with a magic3..

ANY HELP??
Ps: my old magic 3 was able to boot the same cd .. NE IDEAS??

Not sure if I am right... but I have heard that Magic chip do have problem with GameShark

At the screen where it says to hit X try pressing R1 + O. It must be perfect. Try that for a while. If that doesn't work try select + O.

i dont get to a screen where it tells me to press X.. It frezzes at the verybeging where if ur donggle is not inserted it telles you in red font!! it frezzes there!!!

Try holding reset until the blue eject light comes on when booting.

Still doesn't work!!! It goes the where the ps1 logo comes up but it is a screwed thing there is no logo and it says **n 5 times, playstation and scena!!!

ANY OTHR IDEAS???

If it worked with an old magic 3 chip then you know there is nothing wrong with the GS. My guess is that it isn't compatible with your chip.

but i ordered the chips from the same site and a very well know site. www.consolesource.com There prices are way high but i use them for there quality!

And also the playstation 1 game shark cd ( it came with one for ps2 and ps1) boots fine. I tried to backup my gameshark cd using cloneCD andi got an error that nothing was read of the CD. I tried nero and got the same result. When i havent used the gameshark CD for a long time since i had my old magic 3. Cud there be a problem with the cd?? Does game shark have a e-mail so i can e-mail about it??

Try reflashing the dongle, tap restart while holding R1,R2,L1,L2, select and start.

but if i do that dont i have to reenter all my codes again?

ok i reflashed my donggle... How do u know if it reflahed my donggle?? my gameshark still does the same thing if i did it right!

i believe that i flashed it correctly but it still freezes at the same point!!!

the original codes should be loaded back onto the GS dongle once it has been reset...

before it freezes - press all four shoulder buttons and start and select together (L1, L2, R1 and R2), hold down until screen shows resetting hardware . This should reset your hardware and hopefully eliminate any further problems.

wehn i shold them down it does nothing..But if i hit restart the screen goes blue for a sec. But it still doesn't work! ne othr ideaS?

It works!! I had to hold in all buttons tho from when the ps2 started until the gameshark thing started!! Thanks for all your help!
