HELP! Urgent..

I have the Sims Vacation.. All of them will install fine except Vacation and Unleashed.. Superstar installs.. but during the installation of either one of those i get an error that says

Component Transfer Error

Component: Expansionshared
Filegroup: Expansionshared
File: I:\Setup\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I have tried it with different drives, ive tried making an image of the disk and running it off a virtual drive all to no avail.. Any updates or something I need? Skipping Vacation and Unleashed to Superstar is like a waste of money.. Please help me!

Is it with your original cds or backup cds ?

Original CDs: Call the publisher for support / new cd !
Backup CDs: Try original cds. To make a backup lower your read and write speed of your cd-copy-prog.

I have Alcohol 120% but I'm not sure how to lower the speeds.I used to be able to install Vacation just fine when it first came out with the same computer but now I cant. How do you lower the speeds?

When i remember right, you can choos read/write speed in a drop-down-menu direct under the name of the used CD-Rom/Burner !!!

Still nothing.. The orignals wont install either but they install on my mothers computer fine..Anything I can download to make it work? Like any updates?

Try taking your mother's cdrom and using it in your computer to see.
