Messiah2 Problem HELP!

When I turn on my ps2, the first screen i see is the sony entertainment one with all the clouds, then it goes into ps1 logo screen then ps2 logo screen, afterwards it goes to the select language and time screens....i set my lang and times, i try to boot up any game and it says "disc read error", then press circle to go back then it says "No data". I try to boot up a game as stated in the instructions but the samething happens: ps1 logo => p2 logo => lang select. PLEASE HELP ME! THANKS IN ADVANCE! I have a ps2 v4 and messiah2 pro.

id make sure that your points on the chip arent grounding out on the unit (the metal casing that goes over the mobo and the messiah2 chip. i had that problem once. if thats not it, check the bios wires, as well as a b and c

can you go into more detail about the grounding out part because i am not the one who installed it...make sure that modchip isn't touching the metal casing?
