Is it possible for me to use the Xbox DVD playback kit remote to play DVDs instead of the controller? Or is there anyway I can disable DVDx(its saved to the hard drive)?

P.S. I used SlaYer's EvoX auto-installer to install everything and when I deleted the DVDx(I wanted to use my remote), my xbox couldn't play any DVD movies, even with the microsoft playback kit.:confused:

To play dvd films you switch on your xbox in the evox menu choose SYSTEM MANAGEMENT now choose M$DASHBOARD your xbox will now play dvd films as long as you have the dvd kit.

it still isn't letting me use the remote, i go into the M$ dash and put my DVD in, then it just goes back to EvoX and opens DVDx.:confused:

That problem has to do with the evox.ini file.. Open it up, and where it says

AutoLaunchGames =
AutoLaunchDVD = You can put yes here if you like
DVDPlayer = "C:/location/of/msdash.xbe"
AutoLaunchAudio =
#AudioPlayer =
MSDashBoard =
UseFDrive = Yes
SkinName = Original
IGR =
UseItems = Yes
ScreenSaver =
#SkinName =
Fahrenheit =
ShadeLevel =

Hope that helps.. :)

Is there any way to change the file (evox.ini) through the xbox? (EvoX is saved on my xbox hard drive). Or would I have to FTP and replace the file saved on the xbox?

Well..

What FTP prog are you using?

I use leapftp, and I just right-click on the evox.ini file and click on edit.. It then brings up notepad and I can make changes and save, and then click ok on the leapftp program to re-upload the edited file.. Check if your ftp prog has that sort of thing, and if it doesn't, d/l the trial version of leapftp.. It sure helped me..

I use FlashFXP, it works to edit the file and replace the one on my hard drive but the edited evox.ini didn't work, I think it is because I used SlaYer's EvoX auto-installer to put evox on my hard drive (it uses different folder names). What should I change the command line to?
