opposing help

I need help to crack my H-L: Opposing Force copy,because when I start it, the "New Game" option is disabled.

I tried to crack it with gamecopy's files, but most of them didn't work and others said me that they can't crack my H-L:OF version.

I think I have the 1.1.0.9 version.

Hi Oldfield, I have tried http://www.patches-scrolls.de/ and http://www.avault.com/ but the latest upgrade is still 1.1.0.8. Where did you find the 1.1.0.9 upgrade? also, if it was released within the last two weeks then read the stickies instead!

Also, if you had had a look at the _version numbers_ besides the no-CD patches on GCW then you wouldn't even had to bother _dowload_ them as, obviously, they're all for older versions of the game...

Could it be you have only a spawn version installed, so you can only join a network game, but not play the story ???

(I don't have that game!)

A theory...:
You downloaded a file, from a internet. You thought it was the full version...but maybe, MAYBE it was a DEMO version...:rolleyes:.
Demo version often have dissable new games....and stuff like that......

That sounds about right.... Blue Shift shipped with only the Multiplayer portion of Opposing Force, and the New Game button was 'shadowed'

And, although I maybe wrong, did'nt Gearbox/Valve release the Mulitplayer portion of Opposing Force as a free download a few months back?

THe game is an original spanish version OPP cd, so I think the "Demo Problem" could be discarded.

The Readme file says that is the 1.1.0.9 version.

My problem is still there, but anywhere thanks for replying.

Hi Oldfield,

If I were you, I wouldn't try to downgrade it. For sure, that will kill it completely.

Anyway, if you need no-CD patches - for _any_ game -, well, see the forum stickies!
