How many VERSIONS of xbox are?
How ican recognize them?

4 versions I believe. Xbox v1.0, 1.1, 1.2, and the newest 1.3.

The newer chips work on all of them I think. 1.3 might still be a problem though.

Yes, cheapmod works on all versions of the xbox except for v1.3.
