Utility Disk/Patches

Hey,

A couple of questions, where do you get the utility disks from? and I have the version SCPH - 30003 can you tell which model I have from that? Or would I have to disassemble the PS2 to find out.

don't know where to get the utility disc, but you can id your ps2 here (http://www.modchip.com/ps2/ps2id.htm).

Utility Disk is for Jap PS2 and won'rt boot on a 30003.

So i'd have to use a proper mod, rather than patch the software? Know anyway where i don't have to fiddle with the interior of the PS2? :rolleyes:

Nope - no alternative but an internal mod (like the rest of us have done) unless you want severely rected capabilities through other means (the knife trick, for example).
