I heard that it is very similar performance wise to the M2. As far as some of the differences from the original apple it can boot from the browser screen, direct boot DVD9 games(have to disable chip with original apple), and it fixed the v7 protection with games such as Splinter Cell. And yes you can still disable the chip.

The apple pro replaces the apple 2 pro. It is supposed to have an updated code.

Small (24gauge-ish) insulated solid-core wires. Yes.
