Browser Screen problem

I remember a post a while back regarding the Browser screen of the PS2, were the animation of the swirl would freeze and become stuck . Does anyone remember on how to rectify this and return it back to it's origianl state, as my friend is just confused at the moment. He has PAL V4 modded with the first Messiah chip.

Go to the menu to change the time and keep your finger on up on the d pad. This should change the time and fix the swirl thing for some reason.
