Hello all

I am new to this forum and plan to be here quite abit in the future.

My question to you experts is, which format is better for backing up PS2 games DVD-R or DVD+R or does it make any difference?

Which is better for backing up movies?

I am going to buy a DVD burner in the near future and I don't want to make the same mistake as when I bought my first CDRW, it was a piece of Sh!T. (creative 4224)

What make/models are good?
A lot of people seem to like Pioneer here. I have a Pioneer DVD-ROM and no complaints here with it.

I couldn't find any recent threads on this topic but if you know of some please direct me to them. Maybe an FAQ page or something like that.

Thanks

-r is more liked by ps2. It is cheaper too. Either -r or +r will work for movies, but be sure to use the format that your dvd player supports. Look here (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers) to see what type of media your dvd player supports. Customer satisfaction is basically what makes a dvd burner good, and nearly everybody who has a Pioneer is very happy with it. I know I am very happy with mine.:)

i just got my pioneer a05 and i'm very impressed with the performance

The primary issue here is that ESPECIALLY older PS2's (v4 and lower) will NOT read +R media, but MIGHT read -R.
