View Full Version : Need to patch dvdscopys?
Hello!
I just made a backup of my Kingdom hearts but when i try to boot in my ps2 (with dms3) i tells me that the disc isnt a playstation 1 och 2 disc. I made the copy using dvddecrypter.
Do i need to patch the game before i burn the backup or did i do something else wrong?
Thanks in advance!

No patches needed for dvd copies!
Read the sticky:Factoids: Backup Procedures
All the info you need is there!
I love posts like this.
Here, lemme try!

Hey, I know this is a n00b question, but I can't make copies. I put a DVD game in my CD drive, and a CD in my DVD burner, and then I run TMPGEnc.
The disc that comes out doesn't read in my unmodded PSOne. Why not?

Now, while I was just a sarcastic bastard, let's go over this:
1. DVD Decryptor is used to REMOVE CSS PROTECTION FROM MOVIES. It is not a DVD copier. It is not a DVD ripper. All it does is pull protected movies off a disc to your hard drive. I don't know what made you think it would copy a PS2 DVD, but...
2. If you bothered to read the sticky (it's like the 3rd or 4th thread up there) you'd find out that with some rare exceptions, the ONLY good program to burn PS2 DVD copies with is Stomp's RecordNow MAX. There are other programs... but most of the time, RNM is the way to go.
3. I don't know of ANY PS2 DVD games at the moment that require patching.

U can use dvd decrypter to copy ps2 dvd's as long as u know what yr doing.
Newbies r better with RNM.
Otto,
Not worth wasting the time with. Especially for the uninitiated.
