Help! PS2 modem questions

I'm after a BB modem for my PS2 and have a few questions :)
I've got a Speedtouch 330 USB modem connected to my PC at the mo, and am online with Demon, but I'm going to be connecting the PS2 straight to the phone socket, NOT thru my PC.
I take it this modem wouldn't work with the PS2?

Sooo.... can anyone recommend a decent (and cheap) modem that works with all the PS2 online stuff (including Tony Hawks 3/4)?

Also, anyone else here use Demon to go online with the PS2?

If you want connect your ps2 directly to phone line, you can use US version of ps2 network adaptor that has modem built in.
