I can only get the X2 pro chip now is it that much different to flash??

Where I live I am only able to get the X2pro, I have no experience with this, I believe it comes with the dreaded cromwell linux bios.

Three Questions,

1) To flash the bios can I hot swap the chip with an executor 2 lite as that is what I have.

2) If not what process would I do in order to flash it with a new bios.

3) I read you nead an external programmer for it is that true, We just want to put on 1 bios the latest just to back up his games.

What do you mean you cant get them? Did the post office wher you at get bombed or some thing? LOL just kidding. The X2 pro. dose not come flashed at all.
I have no idea how to flash them.

Modchip.ca (http://www.modchip.ca) has them. They are a little on the pricy side though.

You can buy a new X2.1 from The Console Corner (http://www.the-console-corner.com/index.htm) cheaper.

So the only place I can get a chip from using cod only has the pro chips available, so I am stuck

Thats where they don't have the X2 lite there en route from Taiwan should I just wait for it or should I get the X2pro

from what i can tell the X2pro is better because it's easier to flash via the external port and it gives you the advantage of playing with your bios's as opposed to the X2lite.

also i believe all the mods now are coming with linux because i think it is illegal to send them with a hacked bios. and modchip.ca does have X2Lite's cuz that is where i get mine but they were a little backed up on those last week.
