i have a cheapmod installed with bios evox 3.6.i tried to flash the bios to the x2 4976.02 so that i don't need to patch games,but when i try flashing through evo x , a box comes on the screen saying erasing but then freezes and i have to reboot,is this modchip flash upgradable?

yes the cheapmod can be re flashed. i dont know if it can be done via evox.

my installer flashed the latest bios to mine

If you want to do a little soldering you can make a little thing so that you can flash it with a Matrix programmer. I'm sure you can even do it with a X2 programmer as well.

I will go find the site that shows you how to do this.

They even have an X2 programmer there for $18 USD, I'm not really sure if you can use it, but my guess is its alot like the Matrix programmer any way.
