View Full Version : Enter the MAtrix "FULL SCREEN MODE NOT FOUND"
I can't load the game and the message "FULL SCREEN NOT FOUND" comes out everytime i try and load the game...can anyone help me solve this problem?
What happen when you use the original CD/EXE ?
try going into "dxdiag" and goto the more help tab.....then goto the directdraw refresh overide tab..and set it to 85.......it worked fine for me:)
I tried wat u taught me but it still doesn't work. I seriously do not understand why this happens.....i really need help
I had the same problem, it has to do with the refresh rate
remove all refresh rate programs like REFORCE, and Rivatuner and either use the NVidia Control panel to set the refresh rate from 60 htz to whatever your monitor can handle :D
how do i check my refresh rate?
my pc is 1 gig
so what is my ideal refresh rate?
u had the same problem and after changing the refresh rate, u have no problem already?
I changed the refresh rate already to 60 hz and then to 70hz but still not working...still got that same message
can u explain in detail to me what i should do to overcome the problem?
I have cahnged the refresh rate to 60 hz and then to 70 hz but it is not working. Can u explain to me in detail what i should do? I stil get the same message.
yeah, i'm having the same error message. can anyone tell me what programs might be causing the refresh error? I'm trying to run this game on my laptop, if that info is useful.

There is a official patch for this game. I dont know if it will sort your problems out but it cant hurt trying. There is also a fixed exe for the new version here @ GCW and a link to the official patch. Ps I have this game but dont have the problems you describe but i patched my version before i even played it as i normally always update a game when i get it before i play.
i can remember reading somewhere that the refresh rate must be set to 85Hz. i am not sure of it but try it and see if that works

I also use to have the same problem. I downloaded dx9, I overwrited my dxdiag thing in the more help tab, and I downloaded and installed the patch. I use to have that problem with the fullscreen, but now when ever I click on the start or safe mode, nothing happens. I tried to put everything to the lowest, and still nothing happens. I also realized that the resolution tab thingy is blank and when ever I click on it, it gives me no options. please help me someone!!!!! I really need help!!!!:confused::confused:
nice one, digging up a 5! year old thread...
does it happen with the original exe and original disk?

Also, install the latest drivers; see the PC Games forum FAQ.

lawlz im surprise i actually got a reply
well i use the original disk not a copy and that happens when i use the play disc
Unfortunately Atari gave up on the game for future patches to fix the game with newer GPU's. Not to mention fix the damn controls without a USB steering wheel device driving was impossible.
But if i remember well there is a config file which you can open with notepad and set FullScreen = True or something similar :)
I think you can change the render method also, try opengl instead of Directx if the option is in that file.

:)I have the original disc not a copy disc, and im using the play disc. I am also clicking on the original exe (with patch 1.52). Please help. I realy wanna play it
if the problem happens with the original exe and original disk, then its not crack related, so the only course you can take is to contact atari customer support (and probably hit a brick wall)
I dont think he even read what I wrote Turnip :P I mean TippeX ((you have to ask Joe about that one was funny lol))
heh i know the turnip thing, i can view deleted posts :)
