I am looking for a decent cheap modchip, seen this (http://www.the-console-corner.com/apple-x.htm) one. I searched the forums and did see anything about it. Is it crap? Is it ok for the price?

The mini-x is the next chip from the makers of Apple-X. It is basically like the x-ecuter v1 with bios that are a little bit newer. Out of date if you ask me. That chip will be fine, but I suggest to you that you get the x-ecuter 2 Lite, x-ecuter 2 Pro, or the Xodus mod chip. They are upgradeable, so if a new kind of copy protection is introduced, it can be upgraded so that you wouldn't need to apply a patch.

x-ecuter 2 Pro and the Xodus chip are a little more pricy, but they can hold more bios, but are not preflashed.

the x-ecuter 2 Lite is preflashed, the easiest to install, and upgradable. (this would be my choice)

I don't think mini-X was made by the Apple guys.

Well not according to the following website
