Hi..

I know you don't know me, but I have been lurking around the forums for a while.. Now I registered and have a problem.. I hope you guys can help me out..

I have a modded XBox, and I don't know what the chip is. I checked the bios and type of chip using Bios Checker v. 2.08, and It tells me that it's a homebrew chip.. Can anyone tell me what that means..? And can I flash bioses on it or not?

If it is a homebrew chip, then you can reflash it, but Im not surt if it will work through evolutionX. To be sure what chip it is, I'd open up the xbox and look at the chip.

hmm.. I don't know.. I don't trust myself in doing that.. =P

You see, someone pre-modded it, and I'm afraid that if I open it up, I'll do something wrong..

Is there another way of checking..?

Under the big green X is there any words there just a thought but I have xecutor 2 there not microsoft hope that may help

No, I'm sure it's Microsoft.. That eliminates the possibilities of xecutor2 in there...

Not necessarily, it could be an X2, just not have an X2 BIOS on it. But its most likely not an X2.

Just open it up and take a look. You wont hurt any thing.

Well, I opened it up, and it turns out that it's nothing that I can make use of.. That's why I'm ordering a Matrix chip soon.. Pro'lly with an 80 GB HDD.. ;)
