View Full Version : Pioneer 104 Hacked BIOS?
I saw somewhere (I think it was here) a link to a site which offered a downgrade patch for the Pioneer 104 from 1.40 to 1.33 which was the hacked 2x version. I have just got my new system working and lost the link. Searched all over the internet and can't find it again now! Plus, if you know the link, has anybody tried it yet? I got some 2x Ritek but the 104 will only let me write at 1x (I wish Pioneer would keep firmware up to date  )
Thanks a lot...

the info you are looking for is here: http://forum.firmware-flash.com/viewforum.php?f=2
Cheers mate, found my site again, if anyone is wanting to know where to get these downgrades (2x writing on Ritek medias) go to:
http://firmwares.co.uk/
Yeah that site is the best. 1.31 is the most stable and allows for 2x Ritek burning. Never had a bad burn with it.:)
Thanks Bighap. So I should go for 1.31 but which version? Official or 2x for all? If it is the 2x for all, does it downgrade from official 1.40? Do you have to use that UPGDVD.EXE? What do you do? Is it like flashing normally or is it like I said with that UPGDVD.EXE. Very confused???? Thanks for all your help but I still need this information,

1.31 multi region :)
burns riteks at 2x :) ,without use of 2x write all hack
Thanks so much Dust. The only problem is that I can't seem to find it. Where is it? Thanks so much
On second thoughts Dust, it doesn't matter! I simply used the 1.40 to 1.31 Official Downgrade patch and it worked a treat! Just backed up my Burnout 2 and it works flawlessly! (and a LOT quicker than the original at loading too)! Burning at 2x is great, and my Traxdata have stood up to it very well indeed!
So for the Firmware patches go to http://firmwares.co.uk
and for 2x Ritek burning use the 1.31 Official patch from whichever version you currently have at the moment.
Thanks everybody for all your help...
I was going to tell you to get the official 1.31 but you did it anyways on your own.:) That is what I use. Works awesome.
