i have searched you wounderful forum now... but it seem to be hard to answear this?

i know about the wounderful futures on both m2 and dms3, and i realy like them in dms3...

it seems like dms3 has some problems with v8? what about my v7? does it work just as good as m2 on my v7?

i would realy like to have my ps2 region free and microvision turned off... is dms3 the right way to go, or is it better to get a m2 with dvd region x?

when i tried a dvd region x rip i found on the net, it ruined my memory card, so i wount do that again. (i know i shuldnt for the first time, but i wanted to try before buying...)

a dms3 and a m2 with dvd region x is about the same amount of money... and dms3 seems to have other good futures such as firmware update, and the application on memory ting...

so... my finaly question... ;)

in wich way will a messiah 2 pro work better then dms3 in a PAL v7?

thnx for all help! im sure both will be better then my magic 3.0 ive got now... :D

Here is the rundown:

M2 will boot all games. ALL games. No questions asked. No exceptions. EVERY DAMN GAME BOOTS ALL THE TIME.

DMS3 will NOT boot ALL games. It will boot more games than any other chip. It's as good as an Apple, maybe better, and it runs the media player from the memory card.

M2 ~ $60

DMS3 ~ $100+

You decide.

The Messiah 2 is the most stable chip, but if you really want the extra features the DMS3 has get one of them. Your prices are a little high. It is about $40 for a M2 and around $60 for DMS3.

ok... my problem is not the money... i just want a chip worth the money, my magic 3 was not...

i would realy like the macrovision off, and region free dvd features... but what about the "application on memory card" thing? how do I get the reality player into the memory card?

a dvd region x costs over $35 here in sweden...

and when you say dms3 wount play all games... is this many games? my magic 3.0 does not boot like 10% of my games, and thats why i want a new chip...

wount the problem with booting certain games be cured with new firmwares you think?

thanx for the replays btw! :)

If you want macrovision off and region free I would go with the DMS3. I personally think loading the PS2 Reality Player onto your memory card is stupid. It takes up nearly half of your memory card space. I would just put it on a cd. I think the only problem the DMS3 has is with dvd rips. Other than that it should boot everything else fine.

Ok... actuilly macrovision free is not importent... but i want to be able to watch ntsc movies with my rgb-cable... is this the same thing? does dvd region x turn the macrovision off, or just make the rgb-cable work? :) it may seem stupid... the ability to use my rgb-cable is actuilly more importent then make it region free, because lots of my dvd movies are alredy region free it selves...

i practicly only use dvd rips (dvd games ripped to cd), so mabe the messiah is better after all?

it's just so boring paying the same amout of money for messah+dvd region x as the dms3 costs, when the dms3 has firmware update and other good features....

(i understand if i'm a pain in the ass with all my questions) :)

In that case, get a Messiah 2. I don't think DVD Region X works with pal v7 systems. Macrovision free isn't necesary for what you need.

Ok... i just get a m2 then... but how the hell do i get my ps2 region free, and get the ability to watch movies throu the rgb-cable? as i said before, i once tried a burned dvd region x disc, and it woudnt work... it said my ps2 was not supported and that i should download codes from www.dvdregionx.com , but didn't found any codes there...

what kind of cd or chip can i buy to get my ps2 region code free?

bighap: love you! you are realy helpful! *big hug* :)

EDIT:

can i make the ps2 region free with AR2 on v7?

what about a chip that makes the ps2 region free? a store here in sweden sells a chip of that type for about $25... does anyone know anything about this? ive also heard that you can make the ps2 macrovision free with a IC-cercuit...

Action Replay allows you to use your RGB cable and it also turns your ps2 into a multi-region dvd player, but NTSC movies require an NTSC compatible tv. Might want to find out if that chip will allow you to play NTSC movies correctly.

Ok... i don't understand why ar2 shuld work on v7, but not dvd region x... of corse iv'e got a ntsc compatible tv... otherwise i shuldn't be able to play ntsc games, am i right?

so i gues i have to buy a m2, and a ar2? dam! this is much money... does anyone know where to buy a cheap ar2 (with chipping to sweden)?

i wounder about the chip in www.psxcare.com that makes ps2 region free... it's pritty cheap to be in that store, so mabe its just a IC-cersuit, or a PIC with some code.... i will proberbly never know... don't know if it works with v7 btw...

Good, sounds like your tv supports pal and ntsc. I would get the Action Replay as you know it lets you use your RGB and works with v7 consoles. You can get an Action Replay here (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=26&products_id=1670&)
