I got a copy of MGS2 substance backup that is on DVD9 and I can't get it working becuase i'm using DOA2 as my DVD bootdisc and i know that it is not possible to play a game that has a bigger TOC than my original bootdisc. My question is, is there a way around this so i can play DVD9 games, or i have to get another dvd bootdisc, or change the modchip. can someone help me out?

thank you!

Use your original MGS2 Substance as the boot disc and it should work fine.

and no i didn't make the backup, i got it somewhere. not sure how they did it and i dont' want to bother asking

is there anyway to play it?

and if i want to get a new mod...would the DB ones play DVD9 games?

And why don't you have it anymore? A backup is so that your original doesn't get damaged.

I think u have HK
That means that u have bought an ileagal pirated game
anyway I don't really think does hk works with swap methods

Yes. That is the only way to get a backup of a dvd9 game.

So why does he need to swap if they are pressed?

Even though they are pressed, they can not copy the boot code that is pressed into the Sony discs. A mod is need to replicate this code.

i guess i have a pressed?
not too sure... i had a original copy b4 as a gift..and i did finish MGS2 already (not substance) i sold it on ebay because my friend said he can get me a backup (or if u guys call it pressed) of the game. anywayz so there is no way i can play that?

what if i switch my modchip to some that doesn't need boot disc, would the game work then?

thx

Any backup of a dvd9 is a pressed disc. Having a backup of a game that you no longer own the original of is illegal.
