EverQuest demo does not play!...

Just got the demo in the mail. It came with a code to let me play for 7 days free. after getting online it gives an error message and wont let me continue. is it cause i have a magic2?

well i tried again. I can get online and i start dowloading the updates. After that when it tries to login i get 'Error 401' its an Machine Authen. error. what does that mean?
