Have searched the forums and seem to come across a bit of a difference of opinion with regards to what media you should use for backups.

I am in the UK and, unless there are any better, was thinking of using http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk to get my media.

With that in mind, which CD-R's should I get and should I be getting DVD-R or +R's? I have a Sony DRU-500A and have just got a Messiah chip fitted to my PS2.

Thanks in advance,

Neil.

The type of cd-r you get doesn't really matter a whole lot. The ps2 isn't very picky when it comes to cd-r. I would use dvd-r as it is more liked by all versions of ps2 and is usually cheaper than +r. http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk has both Ritek and Traxdata dvd-r. Get some of those. They are the best in all the land.:)

Any Ritek dyed DVD-R (traxdata, Datasafe, Ritek etc...) will do perfectly. I use either Verbatim or Datasafe CD-R. All work perfectly for me...
