I just bought the PC version of Breath of Fire 4 (didnt know this came out on pc), anyway when I scanned it in CloneyXXL it said Securom*new*. The new securom cant be burned by modern cd burners right? Or is it only a certain version of the new Securom? If so, how do I check which version? I know a crack exsists but id really rather have a fully working backup then a cracked one.

Also, I was making an image of SimCity 3000 in CDRWIN V3 when I was told that I shoudlent bother making modern pc games in bin/cue format since there is absolutely no way the protection can be copied into the image like clonecd can, is this true?

You can make a sort of backup that will more or less work, but that backup cannot be copied itself. So no, a 100% copy is not possible but you can make a backup that works on its own. And yes, very few modern games can be copied by CDRWIN.

It really seems version dependent. I could successfully backup Vietcong, but wasn't able to create a working backup of Dino Crisis 2 (which uses an older version of SecuRom). Sometimes it is weird!
