I still cant get the BF42 no CD to work

Ive looked through the forums, and I looked at the tweak guide at tweak town (its down now nad I cant find it), but I still cant get it to work.

What I want is just to have a no-CD crack work. I have bought the game, and want to be able to play on non cracked (regular) servers. I want it to improve the slow load times.

I tried it once before, and screwed up BF42 to the point of having to reinstall the whole thing. Frustrated, I gave up. Im now so tired of the load times, I want to try again.

I have legitimate copy of BF42, RTR, update 1.31, and I have installed the latest merciless historic addon, the OMG skin pack, and the DC.3 mod. Which files do I need from here (http://www.bestart4you.com/gcw/games/pc_battlefield_1942.shtml)? An what order do I need to do everything?

If you really want to play without the cd on normal servers, the best way is still Clonecd/Daemon Tools/Alcohol120%. I've been using a clonecd image with Daemon tools since 1.1 and I've never had problems. I've seen countless threads about problems with the cracks for bf1942, it's just not worth the trouble anymore for me. But that's just my opinion of course...

hmm... I have the latest CloneCD. I guess I'll try that.

I play online with an cracked version....no problems...you only need an real serial....Than it works (if you dont go on the serves of EA)....:D :D :D

I tried the clone CD, and it works fine. Quite a major difference in initial load time too.
