This may be a stupid question, but i don't know where to look to see what firmware i have on my AO3 I am using xp if that helps someone to tell how to find it thanks.

RecordNow Max will tell you. Right click on your A03 on the left hand part of your screen and choose "disc explorer and drive properties." It will say your firmware on that screen near the top center.

thanks bighap i have fw 1.65 but from what i read 1.31 is what most people like, is it worth changing to? I have never had any problem with the setup i have now.

1.31 is for the A04 not the A03. I wouldn't change unless you are having problems.
