making backup of C&C Generals [Archive]

ok first my burner is rather old and does not support raw mode

basically what would I do just make a copy of the CD with adaptec or whatever and then install it from the backup CD, then replace generals.exe after installation?

i take it you have burning software such as cd clone or alcohol?
My burn to is old and crud. So i used cd clone as mine doesn't support safedisc 2 burning. go to the cd clone forum: http://clone.cd/phpbb2/index.php and look for the posting on profiles. You will need to download the profile "safedisc2AWS" or something like that and use that in cd clone when you burn. This will make a near 1:1 copy, allowing inswtallation but not actual play without a crack.

You will get a truckload or read errors when you burn, this is normal and usually goes for about the first 5% so don't stress that it isn't working, just post again if you have any questions, sorry i cant help any more but i am at work and dont hav access to my home pc.

O by the way i have a WORKING v1.05 patch that allows you to play pnline, when you get the game installed gives a yell jase_daman**********com and i will email you the patch, it is pretty small but works.
