Looking for a color patch for ps2 games. Backupped games work but have no color. Can anyone help?
Sounds like you are using a pal game with an ntsc setup or vice versa. You will need a pal2ntsc patch or a ntsc2pal patch for your particular game. Try here (http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_patches.shtml)
or u can fit the link which will make ur PS2 permanently NTSC or PAl THEN U won't have to worry about patching games!!

Fit a link to make it permanently pal or ntsc? I dont understand. Link?
U can solder a wire onto the motherboard that makes your PS2 permanently PAL or NTSC.
What happens simplified is that the PS2 reads the disc and makes a decision whether the software is NTSC or PAL and then outputs the signal to the TV accordingly.
By fitting a wire onto your motherboard u cand force the PS2 to always output in NTSC or PAL depending on what u want regardless of whether its a pal disc or ntsc disc you've put in.
Regards
I thought PAL and NTSC were video modes?
They are, what he is saying is that the disc determines what video mode the PS2 puts out to the TV. That is why if you try to play a PAL game on an NTSC TV it does not work properly. Using the link forces the PS2 to overlook the fact that the disc is PAL and it outputs NTSC instead.
Does anyone have diagram/instructions on what to link?
Thanks.
The link will be the same as described in the Messiah install diagrams located here (http://www.ps2newz.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3520)
Thank you, Headly, but the link appears to be broken.
It works fine. You need to be registered with ps2newz.net
