About a year ago I got a 100pk of Philips 80min 40X CD-Rs. They worked in my Car CD player, which isn't supposed to play CD-Rs. After getting robbed a few months back, I discovered that my CD-Rs were gone. When I went to find more at Best Buy, they were no where to be found. Any ideas?

Also, why would that brand play in my CD player, but others won't, is there a certain way to burn them to have them work in CD players that don't support CD-Rs?

Try Fujifilm CD-R's. They're made by the best CD-R manufacturer in the world: Taiyo Yuden Japan. Be sure to look for the "Made in Japan" designation on the packaging. These CD-R's are much better and are more compatible with different players than the Philips/CMC Magnetics that you have been using.
