Two little questionS

Hi there!

First question: I'm going to buy a bigger HDD for my XBOX. Can I use a HDD used on a PC before, or has it to be a complete new drive?

Second question: Which DVD Recordables does the XBOX drive read? + or -

uhh yea
i think u can use tyhe old hdd
as long as u format it

and the xbox reads dvd+rs and dvdrws best

the xbox will quite happily read dvd +/- r or rw. and cdrw

i have used both + and - i prefer - as it's the most compatable format around and the discs go for as little as 60p each.

I think it depents on the drive in the xbox. I have a xbox with a philips drive. You can tune the drive. It`s easy to do but it is accurate work. look on xbox-scene how to do it. I use dvd-r and have no problems after done this.

i think you can't just format a HDD used in a PC before - there is a tool out there - xhdprepa or something - which prepares a hd to be formatted with EvolutionX. the tool basically fills the entire drive or only the important first part with zeros...might be not necessary anymore in newer versions of EvolutionX...
