Try this :
look for
06 A0 09 00 43 60 02 88 06 8B 02 E1
and replace it by
0A A0 09 00 43 60 02 88 06 8B 02 E1
look for
02 A0 09 00 03 A0 28 74 01 A0 3C 74
and replace it by
04 A0 09 00 03 A0 28 74 01 A0 3C 74
I'll include that in my new patcher.
I think the game is NUKE or has some other protection scheme:
I've forgot to say that in the 1st mail I've sent you (which didn't reach you) I wrote that the attached 1st_read.bin was already patched by your pal-patcher.
In fact in the unpatched 1st_read.bin I have found the strings you suggest in reverse order (replacing those would unpatch it).
In both cases the game freezes at the same point.
*MAYBE* this is the same problem that occurs in Roomamania #203.
Thanks anyway Magalexxx

Weird.
I've got this game running on a PAL DC, with a PAL TV and a SCART lead (without patching it)...
Do you know how to make a SFV file on a whole CD ?
If yes, send it to me : I'll compare your files with mine.
Well, if you mean unrar the CDI and obtain an SFV from that, yes I know, this is it:
; Generated by WIN-SFV32 v1.1a (QuickSFV v2.22 Compatibility Mode) on 2003-04-01 at 19:17:16

BTW I have used "original" RARs:

I'm very confused because the fresh unrarred/untouched CDI has 2 [PAL Protection 1] codes, but if I extract the 1st_read (or even if I scan the full CDI) I find exactly the strings that you are telling me to enter as replacement.
In other words on the clean unpatched CDI/1st_read I find
0A A0 09 00 43 60 02 88 06 8B 02 E1
and
04 A0 09 00 03 A0 28 74 01 A0 3C 74
Should I perhaps invert the order you suggested me and replace 0A with 06 and 04 with 02?
