Looks like the PS3 has some room on it for a hard drive or two to get taped on. ;)

ide drive would work fr ps2, it does fit, but you need it to be formatted for use with the ps2.......and thats not available

What was the point for the HD in the expansion Bay?
Sony didnt even make it usuable that was just silly putting it there!

Well, an IDE drive SORT OF FITS.

It's got an IDE interface, but the power plug is moved over, purposely, so that you have to buy the drive from Sony.

Not a problem for even the most amateur modder to fix, but then you'd need to know how to format a PSX drive, and without the Linux kit that isn't gonna happen.

That said, if you could get your hands on the Linux kit...

Don't worry, the hard drive will be coming. It is already out in Japan. You can get one if you order the Linux kit as seen here (http://www.us.playstation.com/hardware/more/SCPH-97047.asp). The hard drive itself should be released sometime this year I imagine.
