NEO4 problems

has anybody been able to load a backed up PS2 dvd-r game using a PS2 modded with a NEO4? Im able to load my PS2 cd base with no problems, but when i try and load a dvd-r game using the swap method with a original game, the tray wont eject after the gold disc appears on the display. Has anybody else come across this problem? Thanks for your help.:confused:

Yeah, used to have a neo 4R and got dvd-r to work no problems.

What version ps2 have u got?

To be honest, im not sure which version i have. How do i tell? The serial number of the PS2 is AO578741 if thats any help. If i had a older version PS2 would this not allow DVD-R PS2 games to be played with the NEO4?

Older versions can have problems booting dvd backups. Look here (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ps2versionreference.htm) to see what version you have.
