non solder chips v7 [Archive]

can any one tell me are they any good i have a magic 3 i put in my last ps2 and and the screen went blank i removed it and the thing worked for a day and then went belly up so i am don't want the new one to go the same way:confused:

no solders work great i have a v6 with no solder and gs2 had not had any games that would not work yet :) v6 with no solder gs2 is better then v7 no solder cause u have to use boot magic on v7 gs2 wont work on v7

I would personally rec that you "pay" a pro to install a Messiah 2 chip.... Then you cant mess up the install AND you have the best chip out.......

post both ps2 to me new and belly up one (postage for 1 or 2 ps2 is same nextday rgistered :) i will fit messiah 2 in new one ,for a good price,plus theres a good chance i can save the other ps2 ,fit messiah2 in that for u as well,few irish always looking for a premod on this forum :)

I installed a v7 on my bro-n-laws PS2. It played everything so far except AllStar BAseball 2004.

There is a long list of games that won't work properly with a no-solder mod.

It grows every day.

I know that the idea of not opening up the PS2 is an attractive one, but having a no-solder mod is no better than taking a knife and prying open your drive door.

If you're afraid to do the mod, get someone competent to do it. I don't take on mod jobs (too busy lately to do any except my own and friends/family) but others here on the forums do.

Prisoner Of War
Pro Evolution Soccer 2
Britney’s Dance Beat

I am sure there are more though. Sounds like All Star Basball 2004 might be one too.

If your in the UK and need some one to do a good install go to www.cheapdvd.org I had a no solder modchip but every new game like splinter sell harry potter would not boot up on backup then got them to put a Messiah 2 in and have not had any problems with any game yet....

heh good thing i got a v6 no solder with gs2 so far ever copie i have works fine i have a v6 no solder with gs2 a v7 with no solder and boot magic and also a brand new v7 im trying to sell the v7 with no solder to get cash to have a apple installed or messiah2 installed i bought a apple my negiobr made me a deal he would give me 100$+v7 ps2 for my ps2 with v6 no solder then he changed it at the end and said he gave me the money to buy the apple mod and have it installed and he just gives me hes v7 and he takes the no swap ps2 so now i have to get another and ebay man people r getting tight with there money out of the box ps2's go only for around 135$-140$ thats not hardly nothing now i was getting 170$ out of a ps2 system i think yahoo might be alil better on prices for selling systems
