View Full Version : RecordMax problem it was working fine?

Hello all , I am pulling my hair out ( what hair I have left ) trying to fix this. I have RecordMax and I have backed up 20 games with my DRU550 Sony and had no problem, but now I am getting a write error, I can read them onto the hard drive with no problem , but about 2 mins into the write, it gives me an error. The only thing I have changed with my PC is my wife added Cool Edit to it. I dont have any programs running in the background. I have about 6GB of space on the C Drive where the Record Max is and 74 on the D Drive where I store the images. Thanks for reading my thread.

Since the problem started when Cool Edit was installed.... Try uninstalling it and see if that will fix the problem....

Also... What version of RecordNow Max are you using?

Upgrade to 4.50. Lots of problems where fixed with this version. Download this (http://downloads.stompinc.com/support/stprnm450v.exe) file and it will upgrade you to 4.50.

I went to Stomps Website and purchased the software. I dont know what else to do. I run the test before I burn , so I dont waste DVD's and it gets to 25% and gives me

Error-10 at Sector 2272-Disk Write Error-Command:2A Sense:03 ASC;OC
ASCQ:08

I uninstalled Nero and Cool Edit, I just cant understand, it worked fine a few weeks ago and it reads the file fine

Any other Ideas?

Did you upgrade to 4.50 and is your burner set as master? Also, is this just one disc that you are getting this error or have you tried others?

I did upgrade to the 4.5 but Im not sure if I have the DVD burner set up as a master,,,, I guess theer is not way to tall unless, I pull the case off, right?

You can do it that way or it also usualy says what is set to slave and what is set as master when you boot up. I am on AIM under FileForumsGod if you want to chat directly...

I checked in the Cmos and it tells me its a slave. It seems odd, because I had to hooked up as a slave since day one and now its not working.......ID love to chat directly, how do I get to AIM , Im sorry I never heard of it,
