View Full Version : 1:1 copies of ps2
I tried a 1:1 copy backup using recordmax now and it was unsuccessful is copying to the hd the only way to back up ps2 games or is there a way to 1:1 them i used the recordmax now wizard ..make exact copy option to try that backup.
btw the game im trying to back up is dvd rom(in good condition)
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking but...
To copy a PS2 game, you put it in...
You extract the image to your hard drive...
And then you burn it again.
Of course you need a MOD chip to play it.

You CAN copy on the fly BUT it is HIGHLY rec. to copy it to the hard drive first, so in case you encounter a error... you haven't wasted a disc......
Follow the RecordNow Max tutorial at the top of the forum in the "stickys"......
Then you should have no problems.....
the tutorial is the way i have been doin my backups but was just wondering if i could 1:1 them....but anyways now i have a new problem in the middle of a game my screen goes blank and my ps2 reset button flashes(red)very fast? what could be the problem.....btw bill installed my mod chip and installed a new laser and changed the disk spin motor....now what could be my problem?
I don't think you understand what 1:1 means.

I think he means he used the "make an exact copy method":)
*sigh*
Yeah, I guess.
But copying to the hard drive FIRST, is MORE exact than on-the-fly. :)

Yeah. "Make an exact copy" is all I ever use though. Keep doing what's workin for ya.
The 1:1 (exact copy) copy did work, i didnt boot the disk properly according to the m2pro instructions =) as long as on the exact copy method works for me thats what ill be using :D
